Question about powder that i stored

Hello all,

I lost my bench since it was too big for my apartment and I'm close to finishing a new bench that will fit better.

But since then I have stored my powder (6 1lbers) in a large clear plastic container in not dirrect sunlight for like 3 months and weather is not above 50 at all, I opened it today and I got a huge whiff of ammonia or similar smell.

Is that the powder just releasing off gasses or it going bad?

An ether smell is good. An ammonia smell is bad. Better figure out which it is. If a pound smells like ammonia, dump it in a large Tupperware type container and look at it. If it shows any reddish fine powdery stuff, get rid of it.

I opened and poured some out of the containers and I see no redish powder.
I think the strong smell is the H1000 as that's the massive whiff I got yesterday when I opened the box, since I opened the lb it's stinky, not sure if it's ammonia smelling though.

If it was in the original container in a plastic tote. It's fine. The powder doesn't degrade in 3 months, it takes years and maybe decades if stored inside.
