Question about powder measure

So I have two options and don’t know what to do.
option 1
AnD fx120-i
Autotrickler (no powder dispenser)
Harrels powder measure

option 2
AnD fx120-i
Autotrickler v4 (time frame feb and March)

should I wait for option two or go with option 1 because it’s still worth having in my reloading department?

These decisions are very personal, so I will only comment on what I have been using as an example. I have the fx120 scale and an older version of the autotrickler, and use a Lyman powder scoop or a measuring spoon and manually add to the pan to get the charge weight close, then let the autotrickler finish it off.

it really is pretty easy to figure out what works once you work with it a little while.

good luck,
Richard

I have the option 1 setup exactly, and if you set up the harrells to throw 2.5gr under, you can’t seat a bullet fast enough before the next charge is ready.

If you already have the Harrells I don't think there is anything to be gained with the AutoThrow. Personally, I have both and enjoy throwing the initial charges and letting it trickle up.

Regards
Rick

Option 1 if you can score a V3 now.

Regardless of ones choice, the goal should be absolute accuracy, in my opinion.

So you for all you guys using the 'state of the art' ^^ setups, what SD's are you seeing with medium capacity target cartridges?

with the right powder/primer combo in my experience 5-15fps is what I'm looking for during load development but ultimately the paper is what's really matter not the SD/ES it's nice to get low #'s and small targets but I've shot some really small targets @ 600/1K and the #'s were in the 20's.

Is is easier to get those numbers with larger cartridges vs smaller? I assume so. Ie 6bra vs 284

not really, I shoot 6mm BRA and 300WSM and the SD/ES are about the same
