Question about mounting BAT direct mount scope rings

I recently purchased a set of BAT direct mount 20 MOA scope rings for my BAT MB action. There is an arrow and a F and R on each ring that is obviously used to determine which one goes where but I'm wondering exactly what they mean. Does the arrow go toward the muzzle or the action and where does the F and R go? I would assume the F would go nearest the muzzle and the R nearest the action. I could measure the height as they will be slightly different due to the 20 MOA but I thought I would just ask to make sure.

The front of the action is the end toward the barrel. Put em on there and your scope should lay flat in the rings. Any gaps and itll really mess up a scope

I don't know about the MB but I had the same question about a set of 30 moa rings I bought from Bat. call and talked to Bruce and was told for my B Model action the rings should look like LL when looking at the rifle from the left side ;) was also told rear arrow to rear of action and front arrow to front of action.

Does the rear ring arrow point toward the "R" or the "F"?

Take a look on BAT's web site main page and you will see a picture of how they are suppose to be mounted. R to the rear and F to the front.

Good shooting
