Question about headspace gauges

Do headspace gauges or rather go no-go gauges share chamber sizes or are they caliber specific? I need a set for 7mm-08 and a buddy has a set for .243 but he says they wont work.

Thanks for that chart, I knew they would work as I thought they shared chamber specs.

My 7-08 was set up using 243 gauges. Works fine.
