Question about accuracy node

I hear alot of people talking about an "accuracy node" that works well. I'm assuming this is a reference to the vibration of the barrel. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Is the node more associated with FPS for a round or the barrel harmonics?
For example: if my 223 with a 26" barrel shooting 75 A-maxs shot well at 2950 FPS will another 223 shooting the 75 A-max also shoot resonable well at 2950?

No. 2950 fps with X in one barrel does not always equate well with a different.
But generally Yes a node is referring to barrel vibrations.

JMO but in short range accuracy X (node) amount of powder can shoot well in several barrels.
In long range X (node) velocity can shoot well in several barrels.
Its my belief powders can have a node where they shoot best in different barrels at different velocitys. Don't ask me to explain it ;D

Heres a very good place to begin your studies. Theres not a lot left of Creighton Audettes theories on the web. Probably never was. But to the best of my knowledge he was the founder of the "node" This copy of his work is as close as I can get to the original.

I always shoot an Audette before shooting groups. Audette ladders will not always tell you everything you need to know about a certain set of components but they never fail to educate.

IMO The beauty is, you don't need to understand it or even believe in it. All you have to do is try it. ;)
