I have two of Scott's rifles and they shoot as advertised or better. My son took his Elk at 848 yards with the .300 wm we bought from Scott and two long range coyotes one at 948 yds and the other at 1008 yds My sons rifle is #24 my rifle is #23, my son is picured with Vickie, Scotts wife in #6 and again in #10 . Rifles #
2,5,6,10,11,12,13,15,18,and #20 were all picured and shot for target proofs at my ranch. He is a very meticulous and his shop, tools, guns and everything about and around him prove that. Scott and I have had our differences but he is a very competent rifle smith, take a look at his new, Bat actioned .338 Lapua's there a piece of art and shoot equally as well as they look. To give you a Idea on how meticulous Scott really is, #6 had a flaw from the factory in the stock, Scott spent literally weeks sanding and re clear coating the stock until it was near perfect as a matter of a fact it was perfect but he could always find a flaw with it. Yes he may have a few quirky things about him, but you show me one gunsmith that isn't a little odd

Scott generally picks a known load that will shoot in a given rifle and tweaks with seating depth and powder charges until he gets the targets you see on his site, if you are a accomplished loader I know you will be able to get them to perform even better then they already do as he really doesn't spend much time working up a load. Scott's wife Vickie helps Scott when shooting the rifles, she is a real trooper, running the target out, documenting them and anything else he needs as well as holding down a full time job, there both unique people, give them a call and set up a appointment with them I think you will be glad you did, if nothing else you will come away with some knowledge you didn't have before the visit.
