Q. Rifleman's Journal Shutdown?

Maybe this has been covered but I couldn't find any thread on the topic.

Does anyone know why German Salazar closed the Rifleman's Journal Blog down? I understand that he's gone on from shooting however the blog was a wealth of information that cannot be recreated. It a big loss to the shooting community IMO. Is there any archive for the articles written?
