New to the group I have been reading several post on the forum and I can across this post about a PVC bag rider and I couldn't find a rider for my B&C stock i thought I give it a try. What do you think?

How are you holding the front level and letting it slide? Thats probably the most important thing. Your bag would work well with that stock in factory form and also keep the center of gravity down. Looks like good craftsmanship either way so great job!

PVC is a very slippery, low friction material. More so than bag materials currently in use. I have used a piece of pvc trash bag as a liner on my rear bag and it definitely works. The bag manufacturers could source pvc fabric as an improvement for this purpose.

Right now a bipod but I'm looking for a front rest that won't break the bank.
Any suggestions?

I just bought a Protektor rest from Bruno's and a new front bag with "slick silver" material on the contact surfaces. The rest is well designed and executed -definitely a large step up from the Frankford Arsenal rest I was using. I haven't seen a Bald Eagle rest in person, so I can't comment on how it compares, but I'm fully satisfied with the Protektor. The silver bag worked much better with my .338 Lapua than the Cordura bag I was using, enough so that I bought a matching rear bag (currently also Cordura).
