Short case, long neck so no 'blowtorch' effect. You're right though, not much to put it in front of other 6mm options and the available brass isn't from Lapua.

My personal choice is the 6XC, does everything I ask of it. Tough to have to pick just one of a number of good candidates, isn't it?

yeah. maybe I'll just stick with my 6.5x47 lapua and try to get 100 a-maxes to shoot. not till the ground hogs go in though. made a 300 yard head shot today. it was gruesome.
