I cannot fix your ignorance in this accuracy matter. I'm the information messenger, not its originator.
You might want to get mean on Handloader magazine editors for their late 1991 article on Sierra's 155 grain Palma bullet tests. The ammo had a 3/10ths grain spread of IMR4895 that produced the 20-shot 2.7" group at 600 yards pictured therein. .45 MOA. New cases with up to .003" bullet runout. Impossible for most to believe.
When on an accuracy node, 3-tenths can/could hold together well enough. But holding 1-tenth on top of that same accuracy node, would be a guarantee to hold together even better.
And a lot of difference then the depiction capability of any 3-tenths at random.
The 20-shots into 2.7" at 600yds in 1991, is whole lot more probable and realistic compared to the 40-shots into a 1.92" group at 600yds in 1971, that you also claim occurred.
