If I understand correctly bedding an action and barrel in glass has the purpose of keeping the stock from warping due to heat and bedding the action in aluminum provides rigidness.Well what about ceramic?Ceramic is used to make engine blocks for Indy racers,it is light in weight, strong and heat resistant.Has anyone ever tried it before?I was thinking of doing this experiment with an old Mosin Nagant rifle that my Mom got me for Christmas one year. These rifles are plentiful and inexpensive so it is no big deal. The rifle has put 10 shots in a circle slightly less than a half in across at 50 yards with it's crappy fixed open sights without any prior modification to the weapon.Any opinions on this idea?
