Pumpkin Neck-Turner Availability?

Hello, I can use some update on my Neilsen pumpkin neck turner. Some people have asked me to sell it, and I can't get in touch with Don Neilsen and seem to see a copy of the turner on Bruno's.
Can someone fill me in as to what's happening with my pumpkin type of turners? I'd appreciate factual estimates as to what one of these turners is currently worth, with mandrels for five calibers.

Thanks, in advance,

WW

Your post is not really clear. Do you want to know if you are able to sell your turner? The answer is yes, of course. As to what it's worth, search this forum. Price yours, with the mandrels, accordingly. And put the ad in the correct sub-forum, with a 'Selling' prefix. And for heaven's sake, if you sell it, please change the prefix to 'Sold'.

I hope this qualifies as an 'update'.

If it is as new with no blemishes at all it will sell for as much as $250. shipped. It would go in a matter of minutes for $200. If the extra mandrels are carbide maybe $75ea. shipped, if not, you may get $50.

Regards
Rick

As far as I know they are not beeing made anymore, if that is what your asking for.
Right. He does not produce them anymore. What’s out there is it. They were expensive and many went with less expensive but effective alternatives.

One just sold the other day in our classifieds for $200.00 and didn’t look like it came with much. However, it did look to be in pristine condition.

To me they arent worth much unless you get or already have the mandrels you need unless they are still being made , but i dont think they are.

Not saying they are a great tool , but are kind of useless without the mandrels which if understand correctly are proprietary .

I’ve used one before and to be honest I don’t understand the hype. It worked fine but I didn’t think it was all that much better than like a K&M.

if any machinist cannot build a mandrel they are not much of a machinist

mandrels are made by many others today in any dimension you desire, they are a easy part to duplicate
