I was talking on the phone with my shooting buddy this a.m. When we are developing loads, we normally load more of each recipe than we will normally shoot. So, bullets need to be pulled. He told me this morning, that he had figured out a way to pull 17 cal bullets with a 223 collet (RCBS). He said he cut the neck off of a Fireball case and split it lengthwise.
You simply put the split neck over the bullet, tighten up the collet and the bullet comes out of the fireball case with nary a mark on the it. Also, FYI, this 223 collet will also pull 20 caliber bullets without any external aids like the 17 cal.
