Published AI data???

Hello,

Does anybody recommend a resource for AI reloading data? Primarily 6mm AI.

I have found a dozen internet sites that show loads but I am not sure if I should trust them anymore than they are willing to back it up.

I want to work up some ladder loads and would really like to have a charge weight range.

Thanks in advance,
DG

I shoot 80 grain Fowler flat base bullets in my 10 twist 6mmAI with Federal 210M primers and I'm maxed out at much over 45 grains of H-4350..
My normal load is 44.2 with that 80 grain bullet...
You can use normal 6mm data, just go to close to the highest load with the bullet you plan to use for the standard caliber and start your Ackley chamber loads from there...

I would hope that you have several loading manuals in your library. They have loads for different Improved and wildcat cartridges. The Sierra manual has loads for the 6mm AI. Others probably do too.

Cowboy the 6MM AI I used, loved the Berger 80 grain flat base MEF or 75 grain V-max & Viht N-160 powder. The node that was best was too hot for hot weather use. Be careful, but try that combo. I would suggest starting at 48 grains and work your way up. I no longer have the records, but 52 grains was about the max in my M700/Krieger 1/12 combo. Case life is poor with W-W brass at the upper range. I loaded 100 rounds based on cold weather results and when firing in late June heat, pressure spiked and I experienced case failure with brass that had been loaded three or four times. Accuracy was excellent however!
