PTG trued m700 actions?

Hey fellas, customer service notwithstanding, has anyone purchased and built up using the current PTG trued 700 (not B-Series) within the last year?

Looking to build up a "budget" 6.5CM for daughters first rifle and first big game hunt next year.

Already have a M700 trigger, bottom metal, mounts and HS tupperware stock.

Donor M700 are impossible to come by at a reasonable cost, so looking for decent and solid options without going over the top.

I'm not sure I would buy anything else from PTG. My last recent order, it took 4 months to receive the 4 parts I ordered. I was told they were in stock at the time of the order.

For me customer service was very piss poor. I've never received a call back from them. It seems no one there could figure out anything.

Some years back I needed a Rem 700 SA. After looking around in frustration for a donor rifle, I went to a local sporting goods store that was having a big sale & bought a complete ADL rifle in .308 for $379 + tax. I removed the barrel carefully not to mark it. I ebay auctioned the barrel as a new un-fired take-off. I did the same with the plastic stock & X-trigger. At the time a .308 was highly desirable caliber. If I was doing it today I'd get a 6.5 CM. Any way, I was very lucky & I basically got the action for FREE after the auctions! Even if I would have only got a third or half my money back I'd still be ahead "of the hounds". Just FWIW...

Yes . 700 Single Shot with many options small firing pin , Sako extractor , etc.
My Second one . No Triggers . Dealer Price . Outstanding.
My Barrel Guy said Great Action .
I can only say they work , I have shot great scores with No Problem with the Action.
If I stay Healthy #3 will be ordered .
I may have been very lucky the last Action came in in three weeks ?

I bought a couple a few years back. They were an awesome deal as they included a new PTG bolt for not much additional price. Now, they are fully priced in. still, not a bad option if that is your price range. You'll still need a nice trigger and you won't have a side bolt release. The bolt upgrade is nice.

Well in the grand state of PRK, any incoming legal firearm is taxable; so added another 9.25% to the price plus DROS.

On top of that, action true/extractor cut/handle weld

If my math is right, I am coming out ahead.

What I was curious about is how "true" are their actions? Meaning, no additional work necessary other than to spin on a barrel?

I had my Rem700 completely blueprinted and a match grade barrel installed , turnaround from door to door 4 weeks , very happy with there work. They also sell a barreled action trued . All you do is trigger and stock work . Accurate Ordnance.
