Ptg strikes again

Well my latest chambering adventure has been a trip. Orderd a 22/204 reamer from ptg that was on stock ready to ship. Well it came and I wish our reliable usps would have lost it. The reamer missed every spec from the print. So a call to Dave kiff oh yeah we will get you fixed up promised a new reamer in 2 days. Well that was 4 weeks ago. After 3 more missed deadline dates they finally sent me a tracking number 3 days ago. Usps says there still waiting on the item. I would not recommend doing business with a place like that. I should have used jgs most times i do but ptg HAD IN STOCK LOL.There mistake i pay for it again . In contrast I had a dealing with jgs a few years ago. Where I ordered a 22 br reamer when it showed up on a Friday it turned out to be a 220 swift reamer.after a phone call telling them the problem they told me they would get me fixed up. In short sat morning the next day fedex wakes me up with a 22br reamer. And they told me if I like just too keep the swift reamer. I sent it back because it was the right thing to do. They went that extra mile for there customer. I have learned my lesson the hard way. But beware of PTG

ptg is a lousy company to deal with. The customer service is "0". They will lie to your face. I have order several times in the past when they said a product that I wanted was "in stock" and would be mailed out the following day. 6 to 8 weeks later, I may receive the product. I stopped buying from the about 5 years ago.

I talked with them a few days ago. Took a long time to talk with someone I could give my specs to. A simple throater, only change from a normal was an increase in the freebore diameter. He was going to send the order to the sales and they would call for payment info, etc. I have never heard from them.

I'm going to make a "D" style myself and see if it will work.

I've done business with them for years. Sorry you had issues. I've bought dozens of items, including reamers. No problems at all. Everything spot on. They have been slow at times, nothing I don't experience with others. So you are aware, in talking with Stan, Pete, and others, they recently had computers go down and they have been battling with that the last few weeks.

I really think they created a early tracking number just to get me off there backs. That is some shady b.s there!!! I really also wonder just how many people have got reamers from them that are what you speced. Really the can't measure all the specs that well without a optical comparator and we all have one of those. you really just have to trust the company. How can you trust company that lies straight to your face. Just sad

Bruno keep them in stock I order a ptg from them cut one chamber it looked like it cut 10 talk to Lester Bruno an he sent me another the cutting an was cut angle was cut on the back side luckily I talk to Lester was great to work with he gave me a complete refund I ordered a JDS had it in two weeks it just perfect

I have used quite a bit of stuff from PTG and have been happy with the product I have received. But.....I order my PTG products through Midway because I know I can trust that it's actually in stock if it says it is. Ordered directly through PTG exactly once. What a nightmare.
