PTG Oberndorf Bottom Metal W/Extended Magazine Well-Rem 700

I'm considering this for a project (in the early stages getting components) for a 700LA. I already have an HS Precision sporter stock committed and seeking some experiences from those who may have used this bottom metal combination with HS-P stocks. How well did it fit? How much relief fitting did you need to do. I have used conventional PTG bottom metal in other HS-P stocks and some dropped in and some required 'fitting'. Still of the opinion that this is the best deal for the money in bottom metal for hunting guns so responders please give me your experience just with the PTG ext well only.

Below is the description from the PTG website:

"The PTG Oberndorf Trigger Guard Assembly for the Remington 700 is a high quality replacement for your Remington factory trigger guard assembly. This bottom metal has an extended well with an inside mag box dimension of 3.825" This bottom metal takes a CFE-12 Internal Mag Box or MBE-3 Internal Mag Box. All extended well bottom metal come with a canoe style floor plate.

NOTE: All Remington 700 bottom metal may require minimal inletting due to the variation of stocks"

Below is the link to the PTG website for this item with pictures of the components:

Thanks for your advice.

I have used that bottom metal mostly for short actions in McMillan and Manners stocks and only one LA HS Sendero. I don't believe I had to modify anything as they fit the BDL inlet fine. HS is a bit shallower in the belly so the floor plate had a gap between it and the stock. This is not uncommon in an HS and some bottom metals. If I recall correctly I deepened the inlet a touch to minimize the gap. Wyatt extended boxes fit and no clearance angle needed to be machined into the bottom metal like a standard length would need to keep the spring and follower from hanging up.

My experience with PT&G bottom metal in a H-S stock? There are others I'll choose over the PT&G that fit a lot better. No ugly gap between the stock and floor plate. No extra inletting to try to close the gap some, and in the process, expose unsupported, sharp edges that might crack away the finish. They both except the Wyatts box without problems.
