PTG Coned Remington Bolts

I notice that PTG no longer will make coned bolts for Rem 700's. They site unsupported area. I've heard grumblings of this concerning Tubb guns as well. Question is how has the Kelby action and other custom actions that produce coned bolt actions been able to get away with this design for so long. You don't find any higher operating pressures than in the benchrest game. I have a PTG coned bolt and have not experienced any problems and really like the ease of cartridge feeding.

We stopped making Remington coned bolts because folks tried to use take of barrels or did not set the head space correctly , some folks just tried to slide them a standard action . I will be bringing them back with only a .062 pin hole and correct step by step instructions with a disclaimer wired to the bolt . I thought this all would be easy but not so.

Thanks Dave. I had figured it was something to do with shade tree gunsmithing. I have several of your reamers and a couple bolts and have always received great service and great products.
