Pse bow cables

Anyone know anything about bows. I have an old pse fore flyte express but the cable snapped. So i need a cable and string. Bows atleats 25 years old

Just as with guns and ammo, there's 100's of aftermarket manufacturer's of bow strings that can build you strings. A few that come to mind is GAS, 60X, Vaper Trail. If you love the bow, it may be worth it, but on a 25 yr old bow, the new strings alone are going to be worth more than the bow, honestly. Best bet is to find your local archery shop and talk to them. Any used bow in the last 10 years would be an upgrade and you could probably buy a newer used bow for cheaper than it would cost to put a new set of strings on your old bow. If you're old ones snapped I'd also be worried about any other damage that happened to the limbs or cams. Just my 2 cents, but it isn't worth much.

I see 60X has a set for $110 which is probably going to be the going rate for cables and strings, then you'll have to pay a shop to put them on if you don't have a press. All said and done you could have $150-$200 in a set on a $50 bow.

I was able to get mine on my High Country Safari replaced cables and strings for about $120 about 2 years ago. Just went to my local archery shop and a week later got the call to come pickup. It still kills deer just fine after 35 years.

Petey nailed it with his responce, I couldn't have said it better.
There are Archery Forums you can look at and will find what Petey told you to be accurate.
One place I've ordered strings and cables from is Catfish Customs. He does a great job.

For the cost of new cables you can buy one already strung probably with a sight. They are descent bows and if the limbs are still straight and cam smooth might be worth it, probably not for me.

Does this bow have cables made from the same material as the string or does it have the plastic coated steel cables? Ive made many strings and cables over the years but took my jig apart and tossed it a few months back. I gave all my BCY products to a a friend that dos cables on some computerized machine several years back. I can't recall ever getting over 30 or 40 $ for a set of strings and cables. My wife used to shoot her PSEs till the side of the aluminum wheels wore through. Call PSE and see if the factory will do it and what the cost will be. They may be a better bet.

You probably will not any steel cables I haven’t seen a bow with them at least 30 or more years. Best option would buy a knew bow or go to your local pawnshop, the ones around here always has dozens of good used bows.
