im just getting into centerfire and rimfire prs. i shot my first centerfire match over the weekend and had a blast. i am i currently using a vortex venom with moa. knew nothing about mil before the prs. im not able to spend thousands on a scope currently and i was hitting targets fine with vortex venom also. my question is what is everyones opion of the new bushnell match pro ed. im looking to swtich to mil just not sure on a recommended scope. thanks in advance.

Lots of shooters hit targets with a Vortex Venom. Question , how much is your budget ? I own or owned a variety of brands. The brand in recent years that I've purchased 6 scopes of is Arken Optics.
5-25x56

The new Match Pro ED is a nice optic. Glass is good for its price range and the reticle is good for holds. It’s a good upgrade from the Venom I had in the past. The Strike Eagle 5-25 is also a step up.

is that what you run now is the match pro?

If you're interested I have an Athlon Cronus BTR Gen 1 4.5-29 x 56 APRS MIL Reticle that I have listed on a couple of forums that I'm selling.

I got my 5-30x Match Pro ED a couple months back and IMO is a little better value that my Strike Eagles were. Reticles are pretty similar, but both great. The market is really stepping up on the $500-800 options

Ya I was in air between the match pro and the strike eagle, looks like the reticle in strike eagle is every .5 mil for hold over and the match pro is .2? Which would you recommend since you have both?

I prefer the Bushnell Deploy reticle but that's not to take anything away from the EBR-7C...that's a great one as well.
As you can see below, the .5 vs .2 mil holds are really only apparent on the vertical.
Bushnell has .2 mil holds on the vertical ...but has additional .5 mil dots. BOTH have .2 mil holds on the windage stadia.
EBR-7C has .5 mil on the vertical but does not have the .5 mil dots....but again, both have .2 mil holds on the windage.

For me personally...the vertical is where I prefer to have my .2 mil holds. I can get by with .5 mil on the windage, but FOR ME, I prefer the floating dots the Deploy reticle has.

Here's two others that have the floating dots.
The Horus H59 on the left and the Nightforce Mil-XT on the right

Yeah reticles are a lot of personal preference. I have and used both the match pro Ed and the strike eagles and the 7C in multiple Razors and both work great. Neither will hold you back in a match.

PS Don’t get a Horus

Rob, Why no love or the H-59 reticle?
