PRS rifle case? What are you guys using?

These come in 52" and 58" Made by Armageddon gear. The pig just makes it cool.

I use an Eberlestock drag bag and also a Tac Ops drag bag when transporting. That said any decent drag bag/bag will work. Don't get a hard case unless you will be flying or it's going to be getting beat up in the back of a truck.

Also the case stays in the truck at matches. Don't carry it around with you as it's just more crap to carry and not needed.

Check Midway. I have an older model dragbag. 10 plus years, it goes to the range usually weekly. It's still in great shape. I abuse it a bit. I'd buy another easily.

I like the simple but high quality ones from creedmoor sports. They will make a rifle bag to whatever length you need.

I have 3 of these two models. I find them to be 'worth the money' with my oldest now 3 years old.

I stick the rifle in a Eberlestock Skycrane, fold the stock and go to the match. I also have both models of MidwayUSA backpack rifle cases (the drag bag and the shooting mat). Skycrane is massively more comfortable but all hold my 22lbs 50+" long rifles well.

I found one of these on sale at Midway and I like it a lot. Also have used the Tactical rifle cases from Cabelas and they are a good buy and quality made.

I just use a Midway USA Drag Bag. I don't take it out of the truck, but it will hold a rifle, all my ammo, a cleaning rod, solvents, and the like. I've got no issue with the Midway other than zipper pulls.

This one works well for all forms of Competition

Allen Pride6 Velocity Rifle Case 10949 ( 55 inch )

and the price is right too.

I have one of these and it’s a piece of poo. I must admit it’s designed nicely, as in the pockets are of good size, the shape fits large-scoped rifles, and the length is perfect (as in the max size) for fitting crosswise in 4runner. The padding is good too.

But the zippers suck. I mean really suck, and the fabric is wimpy. Worst, the pockets unzip all of the way down, so your stuff falls out. I resorted to sewing “stops” on both sides of the zippers to try to fix that.

I finally put it aside and moved on to the USA made Armageddon gear precision rifle case and now complement them with my current fav, this Bulldog rifle case: https://www.amazon.com/Bulldog-Cases-Long-Range-Rifle-Case/dp/B078SH6B18/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=3VKHQ4X09DC5C&keywords=bulldog+rifle+case&qid=1652361451&sprefix=bulldog+rifle+case,aps,94&sr=8-3, which is unfortunately not USA made.

The fabric and zips are a 1/2 step down from the Armageddon’s, but light years ahead of any Allen. What it’s got going for it over the Armageddon is that it opens flat and the shoulder strap is awesome. That strap doesn’t cross over the zipper so you don’t fight it each time you uncase the rifle. It’s about an inch shorter than the Allen :( but long enough for most of my rifles with a suppressor attached. The two Armageddon sizes (52” & 58”) are either too short for some guns with suppressor or too long to fit crossways in my 4runner.

Note that the Armageddon precision rifle case now comes with a almost full length zipper (which is not shown in the pictures). I’d call to confirm that you’re getting one with a full length zipper if that’s important to you. However it still does not open and lay flat. Not a huge deal but I figured I’d mention it. I try to order them from Brownells because of the free shipping if you are a member.

You might wonder why I like it rifle case to lay flat when it’s open. The reason is with the suppressor cover (at least my suppressor covers) if a case does not open all the way flat and you try to stuff your rifle with a suppressor on in a case, invariably the suppressor cover gets pushed off.

I bought the bulldog at the local Sportsmans franchise.

I ended up going with Armageddon Gear. I have 2 now. I like them for what they are. Well made and they protect my rifles well. I dont carry my rifles in them, they pretty much just keep them comfy for truck rides. Ive broken a few things with 20+ lb rifles bouncing around in the truck unprotected.

I was in harbor freight for something over black Friday. They had hard plastic cases similar to Pelican cases....for the price, I couldn't pass it up. Got one for my rifle and another for my Labradar.

I haven't used the rifle case yet. I've used the case for my Labradar a ton. It basically lives in my truck. Zero issues.

I should start using the rifle case....

I've got one of the Harbor Freight cases that I use for the fishfinder on my boat when it comes out of the boat for safe storage. They're built like a tank!!
