Props to SPR/Bugholes

Last week I decided to stimulate the economy and ordered a 6.5mm, 1-8T, 1.25" straight, 31" blank by Brux from Bugholes for my 260AI. Site showed 1 in stock, whipped out the plastic and had it on its way to me. Today it shows up at my work and I set it aside until my break around 1500 hours. So I decide to open the box and check it out when I see .243/.236 stamped on the end! I immediately found my order confirmation to make sure I ordered the right thing, sure enough I did. So fired off an email with a picture of the stamping, 20 minutes after they closed (im in CA). Crap. Tried calling too, left a voice mail. The barrel i ordered showed as the last one in stock and really hoped they had one in stock.

But, about 20 minutes later I get a notification of an email on my phone. It wasn't from Grafs about the brass I need being in stock, but from SPR apologizing and a new tracking email plus return tag for the correct barrel! I even offered to ship it back on their account (I work in logistics) but they said don't worry about it, just slap the new label on and drop it off for UPS.

So, kudos to Bugholes/Southern Precision Rifles for not only making it right, but doing so after hours on a Friday. I know I was jonesin for a beer by 1630, let alone worrying about work emails after hours.

An extra week isn't going to kill me, my current barrel is still good, but has about 1300 rounds on it, so aside from the mistake, I am pleased and will gladly recommend them and use them again.

I had Greg re-barrel my 338 Lapua twice he does excellent work!

I have the 6.5x47 pre-fit on the bench for an Origin that Greg spun up for me. What load are you using?
Sorry for the delay, lots of Easter doings today! Haven't gotten to do a whole lot of shooting with the 6.5x47L, a total of 385 rounds in a year and a half. I've used Varget, H4350, H4831SC, and H1000 with 140 Berger Hybrids and CCI 450 or BR primers, Lapua brass. Not having much Varget or H4350, but a LOT of H4831SC and nearly the same amount of H1000 lead me to trying the latter two powders. H1000 gave excellent accuracy but velocities were low: 2668 A fps, SD 6, ES 14. H4831SC gave me acceptable velocity - 2754 A, SD 8, ES 17. Posting up a pix, group size @ 100 yds, after measuring c-to-c should be just a tad over a third of an inch, maybe a swoosh more, not .24 like I initially figured.

its only about 40 minutes from my house to Bugholes,,Ive stopped and bought some stuff along,,a triggertech special I got from there the safety froze up,,instead of me having to send it back Russ took it back and gave me another one,,I do wish they kept more 12 and 13.5 twist barrels

The saga continues!

Received my replacement shipment today, didn't wait to open it and check it this time and what do you know, another 6mm brux barrel! Lol!

Took a picture and sent off an email, again. Russ called me back an hour later, told me the Brux is out of stock and offered me a Kreiger of same specs at no additional charge. Thats fine by me.

Great customer service from these guys. I suggested he double check the bin number and product in the warehouse since it happened twice.

I work in internet retail, I know it happens. I'm not mad or trying to bash them. They handled it appropriately and I am satisfied. Even the good guys screw up once in a while. It's how they fix it that makes all the difference.

I had a question on head space on a new barrel from Greg. He replied on Easter Day. I have never received this kind of customer service form anyone in the gun industry. His work was good to go.

He posted on Facebook a few days ago they got in 700 barrels in a couple days. I could see getting a couple mixed up. Lol.
