Prone and FClass shooter feedback needed

So I am trying to get more matches going at our local club. I am submitting a formal proposal to the BOD but need some feedback to help provide support for it. Here is what I am proposing (just the basics for now).

100yd Mini Palma Match

Prone, F-Class and Bench Allowed (separate prizes and classes)

Any 22 LR, iron sights for sling, scopes for FC and bench.

135 shots for record (Palma Course x 3) on simulated 800, 900 and 1000 TD targets.

Cash or Prize for overall class winners. Other prizes awarded based on entries, JR's, aggregate winners, etc. the goal is to offer ample prizes and incentiveize more shooters.

Entry fee would be $20 ($5 for JRs).

Match would be a 1 day match fired in 1 relay (2 relays if it gets big).

This match would be in Central NC (Burlington/Greensboro area) if it comes to fruition.

So here is what I'd like to know.

1. If you live in NC/VA, would you make the drive to come shoot? And if so which class?

2. If you don't live in the area, lets assume you do and tell me what you think and how far/long you'd drive for such a match.

Any other feedback is welcome.

My shooting buddies and I have a binary approach to matches: those we drive to the night before and rent a hotel room, and those we drive to the morning of competition. Several factors come into play regarding whether we are willing to make the longer drive and pay for a hotel room:

1. Is the match NRA registered, NRA approved, or not NRA sanctioned at all?
2. Is the match at a distance that we do not often get to shoot with shorter drives?
3. Are there closer alternatives that day or that weekend?
4. Is the number of shots for record close to what we want? We usually like 45-80 for a one day event and 120-140 for a two day event.
5. Is it cost effective? $20 for adults and $5 for juniors is very attractive.
6. Is pit duty required? This seems like a walk-up range which can be attractive to guys with injuries or disabilities or when teaching new shooters where there needs to be a focus on shooting rather than distractions like pit duty.

The bottom line in our case is that a 100 yard mini-Palma match is likely something we'd only drive to once a year if an overnight stay were required, but something we might do 3-4 times a year if was within 60-90 minutes, and possibly even more often if it was right in our back yard. This event would be great for working with new shooters and juniors to emphasize the fundamentals without the confounding factor of reading the wind. But once the fundamentals are sound and wind reading is the area needed for growth, we tend to emphasize 600-1000 yard events.

In that area of NC, I think the other nearby prone and F-Class events are Camp Butner and Polk County Gun Club, with some further drives on the coast and in E TN (Chattanooga, Oak Ridge, and Tullahoma).
