Problems decapping S&B .30-06 Brass

Hi Folks,

I have been running some Sellier & Bellot .30-06 brass through my Lee decapping die and every couple of cases it "pops" the collet and I have to reset.

Does not do the same thing with Geco and Federal brass which is very easy.

Any ideas?

Scrummy

In my experience S&B LR primers are 'fat' compared to Fed/CCI LR. They require a lot of force to seat in 6.5 x55 Lapua as well as RWS brass and correspondingly required more force on my press handle when decapping with a decap die. If you are decapping factory loaded fired brass this may be the issue.
