Primers as an option to WHAT?

Don't get me started regarding shooting supplies and benchrest equipment. Too LATE! I warned, but without primers, NOTHING goes bang. Maybe we can all revert or upgrade to electronically fired Muzzleloaders or firecracker prowess as "shades of China's best 600 BC stuff." Is this where we as Americans are going? Can we not EXPLODE into MASSIVE DEMAND of obtaining proper primers to launch our target-oriented mini-missles of accuracy? Nothing seems to work quite like a proper primer, whether from Brazil, Russia, Korea, USA, Czech Republic, these products are what we require as American citizens. Must we go black-market to purchase them? Must we pay $100 per brick over the Internet? American Free-Trade can offer these at $35 a brick easily. AMERICA STOP RIPPING-OFF HONEST AMERICANS!

Cliffy,

Your rants on no primers do not hold water any more.

If you don't want to or can't buy locally is your problem, no one elses.

One click of the mouse took me to Powder Valley. They have small rifle and large rifle primers in stock as of today.

Might be a good time to pick up the phone and quitcherbichin'.

I ordered 10k BR2's last may from Midsouth.

They arrived two weeks ago.

Primers are available; call/e-mail your supplier-of-choice, place an order and you'll likely get what you ask for though you may have to wait longer than you're used to.

Cliffy,
Nothing is more American than being an entrepenuer. If this "shortage" is so unfair, and UN-AMERICAN, start your own primer company. Step up and lay your money down, or mortgage your life and your families future, on your enterprise. If the market is what you say, you should be a huge success. No excuses, no more crying.

YOU ARE IN CONTROL OF YOUR DESTINY, NO ONE ELSE. We have this discussion frequently. Your rants regarding conspiracies are very tiresome.

Guys, c'mon its cliffy. Its OK for him to post his riddles and rants. Two weeks ago he posted an apology for not making any sense and everyone was saying how awesome he was. It's more fun to encourage him and see where he ends up. Besides I heard that the United Nations was behind the primer shortage. What do you think cliffy?

I think we all know why there is a shortage.
We are busy arming other countrys. , We are also at WAR.
Lake City { Federal is or was working 24 7 .
George Bush gave Winchester a big contract for small arms ammo.
CCI is part of ATK wich is Federal.
Not sure about Remington at this point.
Ammo is at an all time high Even the old surplus stuff.
I'm sure after a while things will settle in
One thing for sure Wolf Primers are available at Powder Valley.
Recently some br 4 primers were available at the old price.

Just ordered and recieved primers (and powder)from Powder Valley at the "old" price. Never a problem dealing with them.
Got another batch from Mid South. Primers are available. Check around and you'll see. ;)

Cliffy,

When I lived in West MI, I used to get stuff from Dan's Radiator shop in Plainfield, north end of Grand Rapids. Was always reasonably priced and usally beat Jays pricing. (Yes it really was a radiator shop ;) )

Color me naive, but my CABELA and MIDSOUTH primer orders remain unfulfilled to date. Kudos to all who have found primers (locally) in plentiful supply. I doubt MIDWAY, USA is fairing any better at this time. Prime suppliers are OUT of primers currently. Shopping small FFL dealers is not producing primers to date. I have a FFL small dealer who is searching all sources for me at this time, with not results to date, and he is a friend of mine. Cliffy

CCI 450's went for $19/1000 on GunBroker, from a true HAZMAT shipper....the same one I got my 10,000 from.

I've sent you all the links for primers I could, where they are in stock.

Buy some!

I have a massive pile of cci 400's if anyone is intereted. They are 32 a thou for smaller orders and around 28 or so for larger ones. There are lots left. I might even have some 250's as well.
