Ive got a good load in my 204R, 39gnSBK, 26.8gn of 2206h with Fed 205m primer in a nosler case at magazine length. So yesterday i thought id try a batch with CCI BR4 primers. 7 different seating depths, from 1.950" to 1.935" OAL. 3 shots for 205M and 3 shots for the BR4 at each depth. The average for the 7 groups with 205m primers was .331" had 2 big groups a .6 and a .4 in the federal batch, the average for the BR4's was 265" @ 100yds. Only had 1 big group of .4, the CCI's gave me 3 groups in the 1's and the 205m's only gave me 1 group in the 1's. no chrono speeds as i dont care for velocities i care more for accuracy. Little bit of wind, hot, humid and cloudy with some rain thrown in.
I cleaned the barrel after every 15 shots, 12 score and 3 fouler s and i let it cool right down.
Im going to try the same sort of test in my 6.5CM and in my 6PPC.
