Fiocchi just broke ground on their primer plant in Little Rock. Probably 2025 before in production.I saw an ad a couple of days ago for Fiocchi primers. I had read a few weeks ago that they were building a primer mfg factory, so it looks like it's now in production. That might help improve the price & availability situation. Fiocchi makes good ammo, so I'd expect no quality problems. Sorry, I don't need any primers right now so I didn't think to check the price. I think it was a Powder Valley ad, but don't hold me to that.
If you have brass already, reloading is still a big savings. If not and you have to buy brass, it's close. Gets cheaper every time you load the brass but up front cost is nearly the same as loaded ammo today. This is the least of my worries as far as reloading components. So when the primer prices have just about doubled I am paying around .10 per round which is still absolutely the cheapest component. Powder seems to be the thing that has increased the most...but not enough to make me quit shooting!
That was the article. I guess I forgot that it said they'd just broken ground. Damn - I don't mind getting old, but I hate also getting senile.Fiocchi just broke ground on their primer plant in Little Rock. Probably 2025 before in production.
