I have noticed that a few orders for primers are be filled now and then, but availability still seems extremely tight. I this all due to hoarding? Are there any signs out there that things might be easing up in the next couple months? Just wondering what others take was on the situation.

I ordered 5 pounds of Varget and 1k of CCI br2 from Powder valley in spite of both being on backorder and it only took three weeks for me to receive them...
Bruno's have had an ample supply...I ordered on Aug. 18th and received a complete order on the 25th of 8lbs Varget and 4000 Fed. 205m's.

The word we have up here in Canada is that all of the component manufacturers in the U.S. are going full tilt, three shifts a day, 7 days a week and still cannot keep up to the U.S. demand. Allowing for exaggeration in the telling, there still seems to be a considerable time required for some form of normalcy. Now and then a shipment of primers and powder makes its way north of the border but it is usually one fifth of the order with the rest back-ordered.
Luckily I live close to two of Canada`s largest wholesalers and can keep my ear to the ground. Have not run out yet. Have also been very lucky and walked into Toronto-area retailers just after they have received a shipment of primers or brass. Two Canadian mail order houses have kept me going in bullets but bullet shipments to these people is a struggle.
The retailers and wholesalers in southern Ontario seem to think that sanity will once again prevail late next Winter.
