I havebeen on a brass processing binge of late. Thousands n thousands.
Occasionally, a primer would get either cross ways??? or hang up half seated in a pocket. Those pockets seemed to have sealant, possibly, glommed to the walls. Orrrr, I may have missed a complete swage or misalignment therein.
I would then use the priming pin to crush the primer enough to remove the casing from the shell holder. By doing this, without clearing the primer tube and not using the shuttle for final alignment, I scarred the shuttle housing opening.
I called Greg Dykstra, Prez, explained my oversight and told him I needed to buy a replacent. I had cc in hand but he sent one no charge, no shipping.
That my friends is going above and beyond. It sounds like I may be approaching hamfistedness. I hope not. Never was as a toolmaker.
PS. If you are not using his decapping tool, you are really missing out. I BENT a pin 90°. I allowed the keeper to loosen up, turned the op over to wifie, didn't check the set up.....that put the failure on me. They sent free replacement for that as well 2 wks earlier.
They make a pin sized for the Lapua small flash holes as well. Buy once cry once. 99% of you guys will never break one of their pins. If some will send me an addy or cell #, I'll send a pic of the pin for posting. Thanks for reading about a Top Flight Company. Tom out
