Hello all,
I am thinking about selling a rifle of mine that there is very little information for online, so I am looking for some assistance for everyone here. Mods, if you believe this in the wrong section, please feel free to move it!
I have a Steyr SBS Tactical chambered for .308 Winchester, in a factory installed McMillan A3 stock. The rifle has a 26" hammer forged barrel of a medium-heavy profile. The McMillan stock has a thumb wheel adjustable comb, and spacer adjustable length of pull, as well as an Anschutz style rail in the forend. I have mounted a Kahles Helia CL 4-12x52 Multi-Zero scope with rings and a custom base made by Ken Farrell. The rifle is in very good condition, and regularly shoots 5 round groups of Federal Gold Medal Match in the 0.7"s at 100 yards.
I rarely shoot the rifle, so round count is probably rather low, I would say someplace around 1000-1200 rounds over the time I've had the rifle. The Steyr is cleaned after every outing, and all cleaning is performed from the breach side, with a bore guide I had made by Dewey. I do not retain the original box for the rifle as it was lost in a move, but I do have the packaging and paperwork for the optic. I will be taking it in to my gunsmith to have the barrel checked out with a borescope, but I do not believe there will be any issues present.
I bought the rifle planning on trying out some local F-class shoots, but never found the time. I have started shooting archery again, and I am learning to shoot a flintlock [flinch-lock in my case] as well, so I have just been too distracted to really make use of the Steyr.
Am I out of my mind for thinking this is a $2400 package? Around $1500 for the rifle, $900 on the scope?
Help me out, please!
