Precision Rifle and Tool F-class stocks (Ballard's 284)

The stock has a very long forend and a 27" barrel should be no problem. Charles Ballard used a 32" straight contour barrel and it worked for him.
 
Perfect, I thought it had a long forearm. It might look a little funny, but I think that having the forearm closer to the muzzle might give a stability advantage. Just non-fact based theory.
 
! have a low rider bench rest stock and i cut 4" off the forend to be the same length as my Kelbly 1M and have a HV. @ 30" and a brake on it and i added weight to the back.......jim
