It has been a few year since I went on what I call an exceptional PD shoot. Garden City KS, in 10 days I shot 4000 rounds of 223, 3600 rounds of .243 and 5000 rounds of 22lr. Shot from daylight until dark, hour for lunch each day. My 3 shooting partners all shot about the same.

Yeah, really think I'm going to just stick to looking at rockchuck hunting along with an antelope hunt next year, seems the volume of shooting will be a lot lower and a lot easier to manage ammunition supplies.

I hunt SW North Dakota and we my Son's and I have shot over 4500 rds in 3 day. Thats 3 people shooting and thats 17 Rem up to 25-06. And I would load right in the back of the pickup. While the boys were shooting.

Those that have done it how do you usually handle it?

Ship all your reloading stuff out to your destination and try to find powder nearby, find a local that can secure powder/primers for you, ship everything and just pay the hazmat fee?

Shoot all day, leave when the pd's have gone down. That's near dusk. Get back to town, have dinner, then back to the motel. You've been in 100+ degree heat all day and there're still rifles to clean. After that's done it's about 10pm and the last thing you want to do is be loading ammunition for several hours.
