Prairie dogs Labor day weekend

I'll be shooting Prairie dogs Labor day weekend outside of a place called Billings MT . What will the weather be like ? Also thinking of buying a 1 day fishing licence , maybe for the Yellowstone river . I wonder if it would be worth it.

four years ago my son bought a days worth guide service in Cody Wy for fishing in Yellowstone. (Flyfishing) Best 250 dollars i ever spent on him. Great day, lots of fun. remember to tip.

As far as PD's...no idea.

Can be really hot, and they can have some pretty good thunderstorms at times. If you get into one get off the prairie that gumbo can make it impassable

Heed L.Sherm's advice. A little rain makes the soil in that area slicker than snot. Get on gravel quickly.

September/October is usually some of the best weather in my parts....

p/dogs may be somewhat picked over.....literally.....shooters...Badgers...Eagles.......

all of the other critters that enjoy feasting on p/dogs.....right now here......

hotter than the gates of hell.....Billings of course being 300+ or more miles north

may not be getting this 94* daily temps......September should be great ! have a great trip !
