Prairie Dog Partner (Chapter 2)

Not the same as the original post.

I've been shooting prairie dogs for only 4 years. I had to miss the last couple of years for financial reasons but I really miss going out there. I also was wondering if anyone would like to talk about partnering up for a trip out west this summer for about a week of Prairie Dog shooting. If interested, please shoot me a PM to see if this can be worked out. I live in central PA.

I was told there was at least one of them in WY or did you get that one?

The previous fellow who requested a PD partner said he was surprised and got 15-20 responses. Am I wearing the wrong kind of deodorant?

I live in West Virginia and go to Wyoming every year to shoot dogs.If I didn't already have a partner,I would definitely try and hook up with you.

Good luck in your search.

Itchy, send me a PM with your # and we can discuss options. I have a good friend that I go to SD with around the 10th of June every year. But I try to go 3 or 4 times more thru the rest of the summer. Having someone to share the expense would be great. Give me a PM if interested I'm 66 and a bull shitter if that doesn't bother you !

I killed the last 2-dozen this week.. Sorry boys..

I too am looking for a group to travel out west this year. It will be my first trip, but hell...I can bullshit, drink beer and tell terrible jokes just as good as the next guy!

I'm in NE Indiana, so if anyone is interested, send out a pm!!

Ya I have never been but am going to try and go after I get my crops planted (about june) was thinking about just driving west from NW Missouri about a day and shooting for two or three days and driving back. I would love to have a good group of guys to look forward to meeting every year to shoot, share builds, and just to have a good time.

My experience with groups have not been pleasant. It has become a chore to find enough dogs for 2-3 men and tougher than heck for 3-5 men. great if you like to bullshit and not shoot.

I think this year being my first year I will fly solo ..just see how much trouble I can get into ;) ...wish me luck! 8)

Got that right, wrong PD shooting partner is like the worst date ever.

I had waaayyyyyy more fun shooting in a group of 3. Such a fricken riot! I would take that any day of the week vs solo. Nothing better than watching your buddies miss a dog through your crosshairs and then you spin him sky high.

Ain't that the damn truth. Add in all the traveling you have to do and it's like a burning case of hemmroids.

Funny thing,
A while back, I built a gun, Rem 700 in .223 and loaded up a few thousands rounds to take on my first PD hunt out west. I was living in the panhandle of Fla. and about that time my daughter was born so the trip didn't happen. So fast forward to today, I'm living in Louisiana, my daughter turns 30 next month and I'm still waiting & hoping for that first PD hunt! :) man, how time flies.....
