Practicescore?

who runs this website? Please chime in so that we can contact you directly. I signed up for a local event, submitted my credit card details and then received a positive confirmation email back.

Unfortunately the match director never saw payment, as of yet my credit card has not been charged, yet the internal message back to me showed as paid and displayed my full credit card details unmasked! I’ve redacted my data, but see below...how many of you want your credit card details floating around like this?

My privacy is pretty important to me and I expect a better customer experience. Help me help you. Please delete my credit card information now. Add a call in number so that we can help you collect feedback. Thank you for listening.

Yeah it’s frustrating when the only option is to post your question and hope someone answers. There is absolutely NO contact info of any kind to get ahold of someone for help either as a customer or as a match/event director. The sad part is that they’re really the only game in town and for how long they’ve been in business it should work much better than it does.

Practiscore is a software program used by hundreds of matches every weekend, your first contact for problems is the MD for who's match you signed up for. Are you signed up on PS? You get a email when you sign up for a match and get another when you pay or giving you permission to pay and squad depending on how the MD set it up. I don't know what this MD did so I'll refrain from guessing, we have used it since the beginning and like all programs they have worked through a lot of bugs over the years and continue to improve it.

I just logged in to Practiscore and my page looks nothing like yours. Is it possible you did not quite finish completing the page? None of my personal information was open.
Hope it works out for you!

I have mixed feelings about PractiScore...

Finding a specific match, even if you know key words in the name of the event, is a PITA in my opinion. It seems more focused on wanting to show you events near you, rather than having a functional full-text search. Searching for 'Berger', for example, only returns a couple hits... on events that list having 'burgers' served after the match

Unless you know the *exact* name of the club (as used in PractiScore, cuz the search is non-functional, see above) it's very hard to find events. You damn near have to follow a link provided by the match organizer directly *to* their specific event, because it's a PITA to find it any other way.

You can bookmark/save 'clubs' but not specific matches - not the most handy approach, but it works. Except now I have to go in and wade through any other events that club has listed, rather than just going straight to the one I'm interested in.

Once you have all *that* taken care of, and it's time to sign up... that part goes pretty seamlessly - for me.

I've never shot in a match with scoring done by PractiScore - since they continue to not support HP/F-class - so I can't comment on that aspect.

Part of me wonders if that's part of why PRS/NRL matches took off so well - their format solidified somewhere around the same time frame, and most use PractiScore as an integral part of their scoring system. Competitors - including those who couldn't make it to the match in person - can see the results *immediately* after the match, digitally, online, not begging around on forums for someone to post a cell-phone pic of a printed sheet. Between the ease of scoring, collating the results, and *publishing* those results...

I will say in their defense I was finally able to get a hold of a real person after sending up flags on various social media sites. They have suggested how to correct some of the issues and while that may end up working I don’t know as of yet since I can’t control the users who are entering the information. I was able to get into the payment logs which actually let me see the errors that everybody had committed and some of them are strange and may have been overlooked by the user and somehow they thought the payment went though or didn’t see an error message or the system let them register even though the payment failed. I do know based on problems that some of my friends had signing up for the Southwest Nationals that their interface isn’t always intuitive for users who aren’t computer savvy so that may play into it as well. I’m sure it’s just a growing pains thing but I am happy that somebody reached out and I have a live person that is actually helping now and not just a message board. They do seem committed to making this work which is very encouraging and based on other users have been using it longer than I have it’s something that they have continually been working on so I will keep my fingers crossed that the problems I’m having will get resolved and I will continue to use it for all of my matches.
