I had a 6br barrel spun up a couple years ago with the intent of running my own test on the affects of fluting on accuracy. It started as a 1.250 straight tube and I got it shooting real well. Next I sent it off to @boltfluter , Paul, at Pro Precision Rifles. I wanted something a bit different and we decided on a vortex flute and at slow spin rate. The barrel needed the load returned after the weight loss but shot just as well post fluting as it did before. I pulled the barrel because it was a bit too heavy on my wife’s gun.I snagged a deal on a stainless action and figured I’d finally put that barrel back to good use and build a bench gun.
Sent the bolt to Paul so he could once again do what he does so well. I have to come up with a factory thickness stainless lug yet and then decide on stock. I think it will be a looker. I know the barrel is already a shooter.
