PPC question

I am new to a 6ppc. Question. When I measure overall length of the cartridge, it measures about 1.497 + or -, The cartridges have been fired twice since creation. 65 gn. Hornady, 27.0 of H322 with a cci 450 primer. Does the cartridge just grow over time till trimming is needed ? Thankyou.

It all depends on how close your sizing die matches your chamber and how much sizing you do
If it is not a good match and you over size they will need trimming often all the way to when they fail

Just keep an eye on them if they move .002-.003 after sizing that's to much
After 3-4 firing if all is right they should not move much at the load you list

+1 for what Tim said.
Brass will not grow much with light loads listed. If you start pushing heavy loads of N133 you will see brass that will need to be trimmed.

Tim, I'm using a Redding 6 ppc "USA" FL sizer set. I am Full length sizing with a shoulder bump a little less than 2 thou. The gun is a Sako S491 action with a stainless barrel and McMillan benchrest type stock. It shoots real well with a clean barrel but groups open up quickly. I bought the gun used. it is in very nice shape.

Oh,I just thought of this. If the brass is a good bit under trim dimension, Should I still even them all out, so they are the same ?

It won't hurt to do that at all
You may not tell a difference but won't hurt at all to trim them all to 1495 then just maintain that
