224 Weatherby might with a tiny bit of alteration, and for sure all cases off the 7.62x39, There is a 6.5 version that is a dandy!!!

The PPC rim is 0.440" and the 224 Weatherby is 0.415", so a direct conversion is possible with no machine work.


There is very little difference between the PPC, and the large ('06, 22-250, etc) bolt face. Converting up is no problem.

1+ with what Catshooter said EXCEPT if it is a Sako benchrest model in 6PPCUSA. I don't believe that small bolt face can be safely opened at all. If anyone has done it, I'd be interested to hear about what they did with it.

6.5x52 Carcano, 6.5x54 MS and POSSIBLY the 6.8 SPC but it's rim is .422 so this might be "IFFY". I have a friend with an XP in 6.5 Carcano (.264 bore),It's a nice accurate setup for deer.

6.5 Grendel is a direct interchange, and there are all sorts of varmint & BR variants on the PPC & Grendel cases.
