For shooting a 223/6BR/wildcat 6mm/308 Win shooting competition, if you could have only 1 powder(OTHER THAN VARGET) what would it be?

H4895, RL 15, IMR 4064?

not limited to the 3 I mentioned. It was just my thoughts of powders I knew do well for the above calibers

Hard to say when the cases differ so much from .308 down to 6BR or .223......

4895 for the former, RL-15 for the latter.

Terry it was in reference to a 308 win and 6BR family and a 223.

Mainly for the bigger ones and just a backup for the 223.

I am thinking about ordering some powder and wanting to try something I don't have. I have N140 and Varget

Since the only powder I could find in town for the 308 was Norma 201, my vote would be for Norma 201 Its working out very well with 135 SMK's.

Been doing some research myself lately because I can't find the powders I wanted. I'm loading 223 and 7mm08. Came upon some IMR 4320 and had a few people recommend it. Did some reading on the internet (everything you read on the internet is true) and decided to buy 3lbs from the store I found it in. Haven't loaded it yet but, I am quite excited to try it - based on the readings I have done.

IMR 4320 - may want to try it.

What 6mm wildcat are you thinking of using? 6br family or -06 size case? If the latter one powder will not work in your cartridge choices you have listed. 8208 works in all 6mm's from 6xc on down in case size along with .223 up to .308 with bullets 168gr. and lighter.
