Powder suggestions for 95gr .243 Winchester loads

Never loaded for rifle (only handguns), have no rifle powder collection. I am looking for suggestions in .243 winchester for a 1 in 9" barrel.

Will be loading 95gr Nosler BT, 95gr Sierra TMK to start and I bought a pound of H4831SC based on the Nosler data and the stock they had at the store.

Can I get some powder suggestions? Looking for accuracy not max velocity, anything over 2900 out of my 22" barrel is fine. Will weigh each charge so ability to meter isn't an issue either.

What powder would be suggested if I load some 70gr SMK?

The 2 powders I have been playing with in bullet weights around what your using is IMR 4064 and IMR 4350. I have got some really decent results with the 4064 but like you I'm new to the rifle thing as well. Have got lots of great advice from this forum and the good folks on here.......

I like load for three 243s. H4831 SC and RL 22 are the powders that I use most but I’m usually shooting 105 grain bullets. I agree with Lefty that the OP should find happiness with IMR 4064 or IMR 4350 in the weight class of bullets that he wants to shoot.

H4350, WW760 (or H414) for the 95's, and 4064 for the 70's. Just a thought, maybe R-16 might cover both weights you mentioned in that 22" barrel(?) WD

Thanks for all the suggestions. H4350 seems to have won with with 4064 getting suggested for 70gr loads. IMR4350 is available locally and there is plenty of data on it, so plan to pick that up tonight.

Thanks for all the response for a basic question. It's hard to determine what people are actually using from just data tables.

H414 worked great in an old Remington788 I had years back. Use to shoot 95 gr balistic tips with amazing accuracy.

H-4831 / H-4831sc is awesome in the 243win for bullet weights from 80gr to 115 gr.

with 95 grainers start at 41 and work up to 46 gr of H-4831sc

41g 2700 runs 2990 fps, 2.790" col in my Savage 22" rig.
42g re19, approx. 2784 fps
41g w760 at 3000+/- fps
