hey fellas i have a question. the other day my father in law told me he heard that there might be something put in reloading powder that gives it a real short shelf life so we can't stock pile stuff. i don't know where or who he heard it from but sometimes the things he hears is crazy. don't ask. lol thanks fellas.

I have powder that is 20 years old and 2 years old and they both work just fine.
yea i have some old powder too but he said this is something new the govt. is trying.
Don`t know why I am even responding to this but OK, I have powders that are between one year and one week old and they work just fine. But I suppose the answer to that is 'What about powders you haven`t bought yet?' or 'When were your powders actually manufactured?' or...............................
Why on earth would a manufacturer sabotage his own product and create customer dissatisfaction?

easy 1000yrdstare i understand very well what u said i am just trying to figure out if anyone heard this or not. i have really old winchester 296 powder that still shoots great. i think he believes that because so the govt can have 'control' over what you can reload. yea i don't know why he believes this kind of stuff. i need proof to believe stuff like this.

I agree with 'onomrbil' and 'gambleone'. It does no good to spread rumours. Wait until there is some fact before reacting.
