Powder / Primer Shelf life

Just Curious is there such a thing as shelf life for promers / powder? I would assume as long as the containers are unopened they would last. Would they lose efficiency? I have an opportunity to buy a bunch of powder at a great deal,varget/n135/h4350)I shoot & load alot but it still enough for 8-10 years of my shooting:)Thanks
