powder for 223 rem with 69gr sierra's

Just wondering what the best powder would be to use with a 223 rem, with 69 grain sierra bullets?

in my Tikka 25.1g of Varget is a bug hole, but I wanted more speed so right now 25.6. You might want to start your load development at 25.0g.

My AR loves the CFE223

Yes this has been discussed many times (this forum and others). I have had good success with Varget and Reloader 15 in 1:8 and 1:9 twist barrels.

Gas guns actions like H-4895 over Varget.

Around 24.5 H-4895 and..
25gr of Varget have been good loads.

Reduce and work up to be safe.

I use TAC with 68gr Hornady BTHP in a semi-auto. If you are using a bolt action you have the option to try something a little slower, maybe N140 or Varget and there are a whole lot of powders in between.

Varget if you don't mind weighing every charge. AA 2520 if you want something that goes thru the powder measure like water.

I ran H4895 with 69 gr SMK's. 1-9 twist. Rem. 700 LTR. Shot very good.Only took it to 500 yds though.

I my day H-322 gave the smallest 200 yard grouping in my AR.with 69's

Then we all went to R-15 for all weight Bullets from 200 -600 yards.

Varget was good for 69's as was 4895
