Which one works better-Both ball and stick powders

old one has given up the ghost- not worth repairs

any help please

What's your budget and desired degree of accuracy?

I asked an adjacent question, and got a whole lot of "Really any of them are fine until you're looking for single-kernel precision."

Add a bit more and get an Autotrickler with scale.
This. I bought one a while back and it's fantastic -- it just WORKS. CE has them in stock and ready to ship.

If not an Autotrickler, then all signs point to the RCBS Link being an excellent value.

I'm always on a budget. Therefore, I got an RCBS Link. It works fine. Maybe not as accurate as the high dollar ones, but my ES & SD are always under 8.

I’m running auto trickler and fx120i scale five years now still running great but any screw type trickler will over/under one or two in ten especially with stick
Different sizes and weight of kernels
And the rcbs for the range
Yes fx120 is slightly more accurate but not enough to make a difference in our game

On the Auto Trickler, remember the 25% tariff add on when it crosses the border. Caught me on the good price with the AD120 scale.

Another vote for the AutoTrickler/AutoThrow on an FX-120i - it's the easy button. The AT V3 is often available in the sale forum from those who are upgrading to the V4; the differences are minor and you can save a bundle.

I bought a Chargemaster 1500 towards the end of their production just before the Chargemaster Supreme came out. Wasted money I believe. It was neither very accurate nor very consistent. I have the Autotrickler V4. That was some of the BEST money I've ever spent in this sport.

There are places in the US you can buy the A&D scale. The Auto trickler Im not sure if their is anyone caring them.

At the risk of being the only heretic, it is possible to achieve consistent single kernel accuracy without electronic scales.

Manual equipment is faster [ shock and horror ] than an electronic dispenser.

A good beam scale is as consistent and more reliable [ predictable outrage here] than any electronic scale.

A webcam pointing at the scale needle on a laptop / PC screen will show movement from one added kernel of extruded powder.

I agree that accurately weighed charges greatly contribute to accuracy.

I don't agree that a good load appears just because the powder was weighed accurately.

I recently bought an FX120i scale thru amazon for $475. I manually dump a bulk charge with an old dropper I had then trickle up with a hornady vibratory trickler. About $550 for the whole setup. Extremely accurate and as fast as I need it to be.

Older set up V-3 on a 120i a dream come true for me.
Like all tools you need to get the tricks right. Some powders need different adjustments, Varget is easy.
As for the Scale after the warm up period the on off trick to set the programed weight is a wise trick.
Best investment in Shooting equipment.

The best thing about any of the automated dispensers is that ypu can do something else while the charge is dropped - not the case with a manual system. I seat bullets and do final QC while my AutoTrickler dispenses. That's a significant speed up.
