Powder Comparison/VVN133 vs IMR 8208 XBR

Shynloco

You can lead a horse to water, but ........
I'm looking for thoughts and experiences of folks who have used either VVN133, IMR 8208XBR or both pushing a 68 - 70 gr bullet in a 6mmbr. I shoot strictly 100 yds, having been using Barts 68 gr FB Ultras, VVN133 and my rifle barrel (1: 8) is being changed to a Kreiger 1:13.5 as I post this thread. Due to the shortage of powder, I've noted folks posting that they have good success with IMR 8208 XBR which I've not used before. So I'm looking to see how good or how bad the 8208 performs in different rifles. And I haven't found any VVN135 anywhere and is not in this this comparison consideration. BTW, I' am well aware I won't know how it works in MY RIFLE until I test, but just looking to see what results others might have had as I have an opportunity to score some of IMR 8208 XBR tomorrow or Saturday Thx ahead.

Best accuracy I've gotten in my 6BR with Berger Columns is with N135 and I would also say that I have gotten comparable accuracy with IMR8208 XBR, shoots dirtier then N135 but I wouldn't have a problem using either powder. You might want to keep an eye on Powder Valley, they have had the N133 and N135 from time to time.

my 14 tw 6 mmBR shoots 68 watsons and 68 cheeks through a tiney hole with 32.6-32.8 gr of 8208XBR. this is almost hot but in my gun no signs of excessive pressure. LT 32, benchmark and n133 shot small groups but the 8208XBR has a smaller ES.
