Powder choice for .223 Rem using Hornady 75 gr. AMAX

I re-barreled my Sako L-461 in .223 Rem. with a Pac Nor 24" long,1 turn in 8" twist barrel and want to develop a load for med-long range varmint shooting up to 500 meters. I plan on using either CCI BR4 or Federal 205M primers and Lapua Match brass. The question is: I have 3 powders available: Varget, H4895 and BL-C(2). What is your powder preference? As usual, any suggestions or comments are welcome and appreciated.

4895 and BLC2 Have never used Varget.

H4895 is what I used with them for mid range f class. It will work well for 500 meter Varmint shooting.

XTC shooters would order the powders just as you have them in your post. But most would put R-15 as their favorite.

I like Varget in the colder months with heavier bullets and Reloader 15 during the summer months

I’ve had good success with Varget. I think H4895 will give a little higher velocities but I’m happy with Varget at 2920 fps. using 75 grain ELD-Ms
