Powder Capacity

I’ve been working on a hunting load for my 6mm Remington.

I could spend a month reading threads comparing the various 6mm/.243 cartridges and most comparisons include case capacities. Most loads are not near full or compressed, so how important is capacity? Am I missing something?

I'd say that if the case you are using is often less than 90% full, -- that is a negative. jd

You say most loads are not near full, but if you look at the Nosler load data for 6mm, all but one are 90% or more full.

I use the 90% full guideline as just one of several when I pick a powder I want to use. I also look at % burned that QuickLoad provides.
