This past weekend on May 20, 2012, Jerry Hurt from Tennessee shot a potentially new IBS 600 Yard Light Gun Score Record. The 198 Score Four Target Agg was well centered with a 2.256" Light Gun Group Agg. Conditions were really good with partly sunny skies and 75 degree early temps with a light SW Tailwind. The firing line faces North.

We know you've been shooting for a long time at both 600 & 1000 Yards. No one better deserves the achievement if certified by the IBS. The targets are in the mail en route to Palmyra, PA.
It was an ideal morning begging for potential with other fine results achieved. Jerry's potential record score was followed closely by Tim Claunch and Darrel Dacus in the Light Gun Class. Tim Shot a fine 1.883" Group Agg for 1st Place in Group and Darrel was close behind with a 1.968" Agg for second place. Darrell's agg was topped with his .925" Small Group Of The Day on Target #1. The two guys both shot 189 Scores for the Light Gun Match. Johnny Powers shot a Great Over Shadowed 194 Score. (We won't mention his LG Group Agg in Public
) Fine Job Fella's.
In Heavy Gun Class, the Top 3 Honers were led by Darrell Dacus (sounds like an echo echo echo!) winning both Score and Group, despite a mild midday mirage. He was followed by some good shooting from John Fowler, Tim Claunch, Mike Moses and Stephen Hall.
