Posting Classified Ads

Is anyone else having problems with the classified postings? I can get in to GUNs, etc and SCOPES etc but not TOOLS, etc. The POST NEW THREAD blue box at the bottom doesn't appear and a different area says I have insufficient privileges even though I'm a gold donor. Whats up?

It was actually a bug that allowed people to post to some classifieds, but not others. That should be resolved now so that the limit applies to *all* classifieds forums, unless you are a Silver or Gold Contributor (been several posts on that) or a Site Sponsor.

Actually this is NOT true. Everyone who donated at least $20 after 6/1/2016 has been upgraded to Silver through 5/31/2018.

And everyone who donated at least $50 since 6/1/2016 has been upgraded to Gold through 5/31/2018.

Basic members will still get six (6) free classifieds per year (2017). Once you hit that cap, an upgrade is recommended. The Silver level works out to $1.67 per month, less than the price of a cup of coffee.

Consider that, if you sold a single $3000 rifle on Gunbroker.com, you would pay more than $50 in fees for that ONE transaction.

Just a vote of YEAH! for the forum masters. I think this idea is a very creative way to raise support, encourage responsible membership, limit scammers, not offend long-time lurkers, or for that matter long time posters, and still be reasonable. For the record I was one who wanted the classifieds to remain free, but I think this is a superb thoughtful solution to the issues we have all discussed over the last year. I will be upgrading to Gold as soon as my summer paycheck lands in August. So a hearty "Hooray" for the forum leaders. Nice job guys!

Bumping this up because some members missed our first notice and don't understand the changes to the Classifieds. Right now we have a system which counts your annual classifieds threads. Once you exceed six (6) for the year you'll see the "insufficient privileges" message. If you want to post more ads, click the "Upgrade Membership" button.

Upgrades start at $20/year.
