That hydro dipped is sweet. How much $$$$? What kind of paint do they use? Is it solvent resistant?

The whole gun and supressor was some where in the $300 ish range.

They under coat it with beige Duracoat, and then dip it, and then clear coat it with Duracoat.
It is solvent resistant as much as clear coat can be. I wouldn;t let it sit on there for sure.

That wrap is not the same as the dip . You can get the dip for around 100$ to 110$ it's a lot better and looks a lot better than the wrap . PPC in Thomasville Ga . That's professional powder coat. com
He does a great job and can put any camo or anything else on there.

Are you wanting it for the cool look or to break up the color for hunting purposes? If you just want to break up the color, you can sponge paint 2 or 3 shades of green or whatever colors you want to blend it with for a few bucks and it will do the trick. I had a black H.S. precision stock I sponge painted with white and gray and it turned out really good. I was after a snow camo effect. It draws a lot of attention at the range and I have six bucks into it.

I have 2 camo guns, one by accident, one by fluke. The fluke was the result of a NOS Sub-Minute Solutions McMillan M40 in Urban Camo on gunbroker with a ridiculously low reserve, the other; the accident, was the result of a combination of taking a nasty fall that extensively damaged the finish and a few cans of rustolium laying around...

I think the accidental camo turned out pretty well. It's been touched up here and there over the years as whims and scratches occurred...

Here's a couple that I've done.

Your already halfway done ! Just take some long grass, a can of green krylon, lay the grass on the stock, and start spraying. You will be surprised at how good it looks, and you wont have a fortune in it!

Done with Krylon and moss from my oak trees and the netting from the cheap $1.00 luffa's from Wal-Mart.

This my 7400 Rem, 308 that I painted using Krylon paints. I cleaned the rifle with brake and parts cleaner first and then painted it with different shades of sage green and then got some leaves and held them in place with the small netting from those bags that onions come in and dusted in between the leaves with satin black, ( in 1 foot wide sections). Then I sprayed it with satin clear and it seems to be holding up pretty good. I live in AZ and tried to paint it to match the sage and juniper bushes.

I'm from Oklahoma and we have dead grass and red dirt and sometimes green wheat.

I'm also one of those weirdos that likes rifles that have some proof of wear and honest use. After a few weeks of practicing with this krylon job the paint is worn and black accents are coming through. Just like a worn 1911, it just looks right.

This one has been a love it or hate it with my friends. Every day I like it better. BUT if I had the time I would Cerakote a base layer so I could spray paint over it and use xylene or brake cleaner to change it up whenever I feel like it.

I tried to line up an ATAC dip but the guy was wishy washy so I've put it off. I'd pay $300 for good ATAC with base and overcoat.
